I am PSTC - Caleb Green

For Caleb Green, the fascination with trucks began at an early age. Growing up, his uncle, an owner-operator of a small trucking company, often had trucks parked in his yard. "I used to play with trucks and pretend to be a driver," Caleb recalls. "The engine was the coolest thing ever to me."

Caleb's early exposure to trucks laid the foundation for a lifelong passion. He started his career as a welder, working on chemical tankers and handling mechanic tasks on trailers when welding work was scarce. "I had a knack for it," he says. "I understood how everything worked and saw how it operated. That was my early twenties."

After the company Caleb worked for closed its shop, he joined Ryder as a mobile mechanic. His work frequently brought him to the Peach State Truck Centers in Jefferson for parts. "I enjoyed talking to the guys there and liked the culture," he says. "They treated me well as a customer and always helped me out of a bind."

The constant struggle of working in challenging outdoor conditions—often in the rain and mud—pushed Caleb to seek a more stable environment. "I was tired of laying in mudholes on the side of the road," he admits. Inspired by Peach State's high level of service and supportive culture, he applied for a technician position.

Caleb's application quickly led to an interview, and within two hours of his meeting, he received a call from Jared Malone offering him a position in Norcross. Initially paired with a seasoned technician with 20 years of experience, Caleb absorbed a wealth of knowledge, particularly in electrical systems.

Starting as an Express Assessment Diagnostic Technician, Caleb didn't expect the role to involve so much in-depth diagnostic work, but he embraced it fully. "I dove into diagnostics instead of engine repair, and it took off from there," he says. Working closely with his partner, Caleb honed his skills in diagnosing and managing repairs.

Caleb eventually got the opportunity to step into the foreman role temporarily, and then full-time. Transitioning from working on individual trucks to managing administrative responsibilities, Caleb now ensures that all processes are followed correctly. He oversees warranty stories, parts, tickets, and customer communications, always prioritizing the customer experience.

"Customer service is paramount," Caleb emphasizes. "The customer in front of you deserves your full, undivided attention. We strive to provide the best experience, guided by Peach State's Keys to Exceptional Experiences—courtesy and performance come first."

As a foreman for three years, Caleb has witnessed significant improvements at Peach State. The implementation of a new computer system has streamlined operations, enhancing customer communication and overall efficiency. "The organization and communication are 110% better," he notes. "Customers know we're thinking of them and looking out for them, which helps build strong relationships."

Caleb is also an active participant in the Accelerate Group, a company initiative aimed at continuous improvement and professional development. Through this program, he has forged connections with colleagues across various locations and departments. "It's reassuring to have people to call for advice," he says. "I look forward to applying what I'm learning in my current role and potentially in a managerial position in the future."

Outside of work, Caleb is a devoted father to three daughters, ages 13, 12, and 9. He volunteers as a softball coach and operates cameras at his church, streaming services online. Additionally, he has a passion for aviation and has even built an airplane capable of flying up to 10,000 feet.

Caleb Green's journey from a kid fascinated by trucks to the Shop Foreman at Peach State Truck Centers is a testament to his dedication, passion, and commitment to excellence. His story embodies the spirit of growth and the impact of a supportive, customer-focused workplace.
