Peach State Truck Centers Receives BEST Award for Talent Development
NORCROSS, GA – The Association for Talent Development (ATD) has named Peach State Truck Centers one of the winners of the 2023 BEST Awards. The BEST Awards recognize organizations that demonstrate enterprise-wide success because of innovative employee talent development efforts and programs. Companies that receive a BEST awards are recognized because they use talent development as a strategic business tool to get results. BEST is an acronym that stands for:

Enterprise wide and
Strategically driving a
Talent development culture that delivers results.
The individuals at Peach State being honored are Jazmyne Scott and Richard Fletcher from the Human Resources department's Training and Development team. Fletcher has over 25 years of executive level experience in sales, operations, organizational development, training, and talent management. He started at Peach State in in July 2021. Scott was a high school English teacher for five years before joining Peach State in 2022. She sees training as a form of education, which allows her to use her teaching skills in a corporate training environment.
“Having Richard and Jazmyne on our team has added immeasurable value to the talent development initiative at Peach State Truck Centers,” said Bill Garrett, Vice President of Human Resources of Peach State Truck Centers.
Peach State’s award-winning talent strategy is made up of three parts. First, the training team implemented the use of a system for all training purposes which has many benefits, including allowing learners access to their training and providing motivation for learners to engage in training. Second, the company provides learning at the point of work, allowing employees access to the resources and training they need when they need it. Lastly, managers are enabled to drive performance, meaning managers take an active role in the learning, training, and development process of their employees.

All of ATD’s 2023 award winners will be recognized during an invitation-only awards ceremony held during the ATD 2023 International Conference & Exposition in May in San Diego, CA.
The program will celebrate this year’s Excellence in Practice, BEST, and Advancing Talent Development Awards.
